Wisdom teeth are the third set of molars in the back of your mouth. Generally erupting (emerging through the gum) between the ages of 17 and 25.
In some cases, wisdom teeth erupt without causing problems but in others, they can erupt at an angle and push into the gum or the neighbouring teeth, causing discomfort.
This discomfort can be unbearable and often, wisdom teeth removal is the best treatment option to alleviate the pain.
